Cretan dakos with capers and oregano

Ingredients

  • 2 large barley buns
  • 150g feta or sour cream cheese
  • 1 can “Synergasia” oregano
  • 70ml olive oil
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons rinsed and drained capers
  • pepper

Instructions

In a blender, blend the oregano and olive oil. Add the tomato, capers and pepper and process on an intermittent basis so that they do not become completely pureed. If desired, add pine nuts.

Lightly moisten the barley buns, spread the caper mixture over them and serve.
