Apple pie or pear pie with honey

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup Synergasia honey
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 shot glass cognac
  • 1 cup almond flakes crushed
  • 3 cups flour

 

For the filling:

  • 1k sliced apples or pears
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

Beat the butter with the honey, then add the yolks one at a time, then the baking powder after dissolving it in the cognac, the ground almonds and the flour. Beat the egg whites into a meringue and add them, stirring gently.

Pour half the mixture into a buttered baking dish. Layer the sliced ​​apples or pears and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with the remaining mixture and bake in a medium temperature oven for about 50 minutes.
